On 4 February MMCC, bespoke software development company in Milton Keynes, had its first iPhone application published on the Apple App Store. MMCC developed the centre finder application for ATS Euromaster, one of the UK’s largest tyre retailers, in just a matter of weeks and then waited patiently for the final approval from Apple. The solution enables users to find the nearest centre from a network of 380 ATS Euromaster service centres across the UK at the touch of a button.
The application, that is the first to market in the industry, identifies all of the centres within a 20-mile radius from the user’s current location. It then provides the centres’ contact details, opening hours, the range of vehicles that the centres work on and the type of services carried out. GPRS coordinates locate the centres on a map and provide directions.
“The main focus was to increase customer convenience by delivering information right to their hand. The public are becoming increasingly reliant on the iPhone and we wanted to beat our competitors to market with a solution that provides the increasingly important ease of-use-factor,” explained Keith Hendry, Market Manager at ATS Euromaster.
MMCC is working with new technology on several application development projects to substantially improve companies’ cashflow and productivity.
“We are delighted that our first application is live and available to download on the App Store. It is becoming increasingly important for companies to make the most of mobile infrastructure to improve the efficiency of their services and bring substantial cost savings. MMCC is developing applications for large players in several industries which is key for our own growth and development,” explained Sami Saoudi, operations director of MMCC.
MMCC has developed and maintained several projects for European giant Euromaster over the last 12 years. The delivery of a multilingual point of sales system, used by over 6000 users across Europe, gave ATS Euromaster the confidence in MMCC to develop and maintain further projects, including their first application.
“MMCC have been working closely with us to build the business. Developing the application will increase public awareness and build the brand. Together with MMCC we are continuing to update the application with new features and information. A booking system that will allow the user to book a service at any of our centres via the application is the new phase to be integrated into the original development,” added Keith.
